Depending on how we apply these when teaching, we might greatly improve or completely obliterate the architectural composition and urban design we have practiced until now.It is therefore a troublesome turning point, and we should consider with great attention which direction we take.This issue "Teaching urban form" intends to explore, in a widely interdisciplinary manner, the different ways of teaching urban forms, in the double meaning of teaching to people how do understand and design urban form, but also teaching to urban form how to understand people.We welcome papers on topics including:Teaching Urban Morphology and Building TypologyUrban Morphology for Architectural DesignInformal education on urban form: workshops and summer schoolsRegional/national/disciplinary approaches to the teaching of urban form The journal editors invite participation by interested academics and professionals. Proposals for papers should be in English and should preferably not exceed 20000 characters (spaces included) with an English abstract in less than 1000 characters and up to 5 keywords; reports: 8000 characters (spaces included); book reviews: 4000 characters (spaces included); before you submit a paper please read carefully the notes for contributors available on the journal’s website; papers must be submitted online using the paper template available on the journal’s website; papers will be evaluated with a double blind peer review; to register in the web site as author send an email with a short bio to journal AT formacivitatis DOT com. |
